Barry R. Dix, M.D., F.A.C.C.

Dr. Barry Dix has been practicing cardiology in the Metro-Atlanta area since 1989. He received his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan and subsequently completed his internship and medical residency at the University of Michigan Affiliated Hospitals. He also attended his fellowship training in Cardiovascular Disease at the same institution. Dr. Dix is an astute clinician with a keen interest in the pursuit of excellence in his chosen field. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. He also holds a certification in Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Dix is a member of the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI), the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society, and Phi Beta Kappa, amongst other notable academic awards. He has served as a faculty on the staff of the University of Michigan Medical School as well as the Emory University System. Dr. Dix has received several academic and professional awards during his career as a physician. He has also published papers in the cardiology literature. Apart from being an excellent physician, Dr. Dix enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family and their two golden retrievers.
