Q: Will I be able to have any necessary testing performed at the time of my first appointment?
A: If the schedule permits, certain tests may be performed at the time of your visit.  However, most tests require specific pre-test preparations and insurance precertification.  Additionally, for the convenience of our patients, tests are frequently pre-scheduled. 

Q: Does my insurance require a referral?
A: In most cases, If a PCP is listed on your insurance card, a referral MAY be required.  However, it is helpful to check requirements with your insurance carrier ahead of time.

Q: Are the providers of Southern Heart Specialists in-network with my insurance plan?
A: It is a good idea to contact the member services number on your insurance card and request a list of network providers, as this information is subject to change periodically.

Q: Will I be responsible for my co-pay at the time of visit?
A: Yes, payment is due at the time of service. For your convenience, we accept various forms of payment including: Cash, Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover.
